The HCHGS member meetings are open to visitors and we invite all those interested in history and genealogy to join us. View our Calendar for times and locations.

The HCHGS maintains a Resource Center on South Main Street in Waynesville which is open only by appointment. Please contact us by telephone to make an appointment at least 48 hours in advance.

Queries

The HCHGS provides a limited query service through the volunteer efforts of its members. Please note we are unable to accept query requests via telephone. All query requests must be submitted in writing. A query request may be submitted to the HCHGS using the following methods:

  • To submit a query by mail, please print our HCHGS Query Request form and mail it to the above address.
  • HCHGS Members may publish queries in the quarterly newsletter. See additional information and submittal deadlines for our newsletter, Balsam Roots.
